Planning a coastal getaway this summer? I had the incredible opportunity to stay at The NICI in Bournemouth, and I’m excited to share my experience. What started as a hobby capturing my travels has led me to moments like this, discovering beautiful hotels and sharing them with you!

In 2023, The NICI unveiled the results of a multi-million-pound refurbishment, and the transformation is impressive. The hotel now features a 30m outdoor heated pool, an outdoor activity centre, and a brand-new luxury spa. The resort exudes a Miami beach club vibe, from poolside cocktails to chic palm tree prints, making it a perfect summer escape.

We stayed in the Jacuzzi-style room, which is just a short stroll from the main pool, making it the ultimate spot for relaxation and soaking up the summer sun.

After we settled in and unpacked, we made our way to the spa, which is fully equipped with an 18m heated indoor pool, a hydrotherapy pool, a steam room, and an aromatherapy sauna—ideal for relaxation after travel. We also treated ourselves to some luxurious massages which I would definitely recommend!

On our first evening, we enjoyed dinner at South Beach Restaurant, which boasts stunning views of the outdoor pool. We started with a selection of shared starters, including scallops, tempura prawns, and burrata, followed by chicken schnitzel and seafood tagliatelle for our mains.

The following morning, we headed down for breakfast, which offered a wide variety of options—from yogurt, croissants, and pastries to hot, cooked dishes from the menu. During our two-night stay, we had the pleasure of trying both, and everything was absolutely delicious.

On our final night, we visited Old Harry Rocks, taking in the breathtaking views of Bournemouth’s sandy beaches and the Purbeck coastline—a truly perfect way to end our stay. That evening, we enjoyed a selection of shared starters, including squid, arancini, and breads with dip.

Overall, The NICI felt like the perfect mix of style, comfort, and fun. From the poolside vibes to the spa and delicious food, it was such a relaxing and enjoyable stay. A huge thank you to the team for welcoming us so warmly, it really made our trip special, and I’m already looking forward to going back!
